Friday, February 3, 2012 Grains closed mixed to higher. Lower than expected private est of South America 2012 soybean crop and recent increase in US soybean and soymeal export business helped soybean prices. SH closed up 15 cents and near 12.32. Recent increase in US farmer selling offered resistance to corn. Still seasonal concern about US corn pipeline supply offered equal support. CH closed up 1 cent and near 6.44. Word that Russia may not impose an export tax offered resistance to wheat futures. Higher commodity and US stocks prices offered support. WH closed down 2 cents and near 6.60. Better US jobs data helped rally US stocks and most commodities....

Grain and Soy Market Opening Comments - Updated 2/3/2012 8:13:21 AM
Beans up 6 to 8-cents, corn up 2 to 3-cents, and wheat up 4 to 6-cents. Soybeans led the Ag sector higher overnight as row crop markets were able to build on the firm close experienced yesterday afternoon. The Chicago wheat market, which faced plenty of resistance late in yesterday’s session, did not experience any follow through selling.
