SX closed down 58 cents. CZ closed down 16 cents. WZ closed down 25 cents.

SOYBEANS... Soybean futures ended lower. SX was down 58 cents and near 11.77. The bad news is that SX lost 1.47 this week. Good news is that prices are still above previous all time highs before this summer's rally to 16.63. Soyoil closed near 48.89 down 135 points. Soymeal closed near 327 down 15 dollars. Concern that more commodity funds may liquidate long position and may even close offers strong resistance. Rains across the east Midwest also raised talk that the crop can still improve with late season rains. Talk of higher palmoil supply, increase feed competition for meal and higher China oilseed prod lowering global demand also offers resistance. Informa est US 2008 soybean prod near 3035 mil bu vs USDA Aug est of 2972. Increase in Iowa, Minnesota, Tennessee and Illinois offset declines in Ohio and Michigan. There were other est near 2953 mil bu. This is a difference of one carryout...
