Wednesday May 22, 2013 Grains closed higher led by old crop corn. Market saw short covering in corn, wheat and new crop soybeans. There was also some liquidation of old/new soybean spreads. Rally in corn linked to new new crop sales, 10-15 day US Midwest hot/dry weather forecast and higher than expected US weekly ethanol use. Technical signals turning positive in grains. CN closed up 18 cents and near 6.58. WN closed up 8 cents and near 6.88. SN closed up 16 cents and near 14.94. SX closed up 18 cents and near 12.38. Dollar was higher. Most commodities turned lower. US stocks turned lower....
