ZZZzzzz. Quiet, mixed session prior to the 3-day weekend (so far at least). Near noon, wheat futures are up a dime and corn, soybeans and products are narrowly mixed. WZ is up 10c near 7.19. CZ is off 1 1/2c near 4.45. SX is up 1c near 10.06. Soyoil is a shade easier/meal slightly better. The outside markets are mildly supportive. Stock indices and crude are firmer, and the dollar is weak. Wheat futures have seen follow-through buying to Wed's positive close. Prices got an added boost when Prime Minister Putin today said Russia will not consider lifting the grain export ban until after the 2011 harvest. That news plus strong bookings, the Argentine estimate of 9-10.5 mmt vs USDA's 12 mmt, French milling wheat futures at a 1-month high and the weaker dollar have all offered support.
